Afghanistan’s Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) was first launched in 2009 with support from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). That same year, two Afghan public health professionals joined the Pakistan FELTP, marking the country’s first step toward building a national field epidemiology workforce.
