Libya (FETP)

In 2023, Libya’s National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), with support from EMPHNET, launched the Public Health Empowerment Program – Basic Field Epidemiology (PHEP-BFE) to strengthen frontline surveillance and rapid response capacity nationwide. This three-month, in-service training targets district-level health workers and covers: • Detection and response to priority diseases and events • Local surveillance system management • Core competencies in data analysis, presentations, and report writing
